Manchester Airport has taken its website down due to the huge ammounts of traffic it has been receiving as a result of the Volcanic Ash Cloud. People are being directed to a Twitter page for all of the latest information.

A facebook fan page is also gaining a lot of interest because of the Ash Cloud and people are using it in particular to post up details of where they are stuck aswell as using it as a place to vent their anger.

Plans were for Manchester Airport to open its doors again at 09:00 this morning but this has now been put back to at least 19:00 due to a second wave of ash cloud.
