Manchester Airport Terminal 2
Terminal 2 is predominantly used by airlines which are members of the SkyTeam alliance. These airlines include: Air France, Aeroflot, Delta Air Lines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air Europa and Korean Air. Handling international flights only, Manchester Airport’s Terminal Two presently has a passenger capacity of 8 million a year, but plans are in place to increase that figure to 25 million in the near future.
Linked by the Skylink to Terminal 1, the airport’s second terminal offers a whole host of eating, drinking and shopping opportunities throughout the areas before and after security and Arrivals.
Before Check In
Prior to going through security in Terminal 2, last minute essentials are available from Claire’s Accessories and WHSmith and both Bollin River Cafe and Runway Brasserie are on hand to quell pangs of hunger and dry throats.
Checking In
Before heading to the airport it is important that you check the specific details, requests and requirements relating to your flight, as check-in procedures and baggage allowances tend to differ from airline to airline. The majority offer online check-in which is a great way to reduce the time spent waiting around when you arrive at the airport- or to maximise your shopping time in the Tax Free area after security. Failing that, there are a number of green self-service check-in machines to be found in the airport. These machines allow you to confirm your booking and print your boarding card quickly and head on through to customs.
After Security
Once you’ve passed through security into the departure lounge, Terminal 2 features an array of places to eat, drink and shop. From last minute hand luggage essentials through to tax free fashion and electronics: Terminal 2 shopping has something for everyone. Equally, the drinking and dining opportunities are tailored to provide anything from a coffee and a quick bite to a relaxed meal.
